I am so excited to share with you the work the Lord is doing in my life. I am embarking on a new journey by serving as a missionary with Sovereign Wings of Hope (SWOH) Ministries. We will serve in eastern Uganda in mid-July and we will be there for about three weeks. Before I share the purpose of the mission trip, I’d like to share some of my past experiences.
I was blessed to be introduced to Jesus Christ in my primary years and was first confused as to how the ideology of Evolution, that I was taught in school coincide with what I was learning in Sunday school. My church family assisted me by answering questions and bridging the gap of various mis-conceptions I had due to the ideology of Evolution. I wasn’t a true believer until I experienced my first encounter with Jesus Christ at the age of eight years old. Sense then I have been able to identify God’s hand in my life and my purpose which is to serve God’s people.
I have learn through trials and tribulations that following the Lords path that he has created for me brings peace and happiness that you can’t buy or find without the help of the Lord. Through this mission trip I will be able to complete a lifetime goal of going to the Mother Land (Africa) to assist my brothers and sisters. I am passionate about people of African descent creating bonds and assisting each other globally.
I look forward to sharing my love of Christ with the people of Uganda. The mission trip will focus on hospices patients and their families. We will be visiting children at Wings of Hope Christian Academy a school that SWOH built. Wings of Hope Christian Academy has given orphans a home and many kids around the area an education. Our overall goal of this trip is to clear the land for a church to be planted in Jinja and serve the economically disadvantage in the city in order to expand our hospice reach. I would really appreciate prayers as we go on this trip for myself and my team. I hope that this letter has inspired you to know that you can do all things through Christ.
The total cost of trip: $3,800 per team member (this includes Airfare roundtrip, room and board for the trip, and project expenses). My goal is to have 100 people to donate $38.00 each, but if your heart compels you to donate more/less I appreciate all contributions as it is helping me serve the people of east Uganda.
My finances need to be ready by July 1st, about a month before we go.
Thank you so much!
